Benjamin Särkkä is a passionately curious person, who now heads the Nordea IT Security Incident Response Team (NITSIRT), he cracked his first password as an 8 year old, and has been trying to learn as much as possible about how computers and the world works ever since.
David Jacoby
Senior Security Evangelist, Kaspersky Lab
David is a provocative security evangelist currently responsible at Kaspersky Lab for research and technical PR activities in the Nordic and Benelux region. He also performs product and security audits, penetration tests, security research and is a known speaker at the world’s largest security conferences. David has about 15 years of experience working in the IT security field, covering Vulnerability and Threat Management, Customer Experience, Penetration Testing, Development and Fighting Cybercrime.
Eugene Kaspersky
Chairman and CEO, Kaspersky Lab
Eugene is a world-renowned cybersecurity expert and successful entrepreneur. He is the chairman and CEO of Kaspersky Lab, the world’s largest privately-held vendor of endpoint protection and cybersecurity solutions. Eugene began his career in cybersecurity accidentally when his computer became infected with the ‘Cascade’ virus in 1989. Eugene’s specialized education in cryptography helped him analyze the encrypted virus, understand its behavior, and then develop a removal tool for it. In 1997 Eugene and a group of associates founded Kaspersky Lab, which now has more than 3,000 employees and operates globally.

Member of the Executive Board and COO, Danske Bank
Jim is a seasoned technology executive with a long track record of transforming poor performing IT organisations into world-class shops. He has broad financial services and telecommunications experience in both smaller organizations as well at global corporations with large, highly distributed teams. As COO at Danske Bank he is responsible for information technology, operations and premises, procurement and process development. Before joining Danske Bank in 2014 he led key IT initiatives at Allstate Insurance and Barclays. Jim frequently writes posts for InformationWeek and regularly blogs on IT best practices.

Lars Bo has held a number of legal and security-related positions in the past, including Professor at Law department, Aalborg University, Public Prosecutor at Public Prosecutor for Serious Economic Crime, Associate Professor at Aarhus School of Business, and Head of section at the Danish Ministry of Justice.
Marc Ester
Exchange Coordinator, G Data
Marc Ester was born in the former coal and steel area in Germany in September 1983 in Wanne-Eickel. During his studies of applied computer science he worked for the “Institute for Internet Security” in Gelsenkirchen, where he was member of the awareness and pen-testing team. Since 2009 Marc works for the German anti-malware solution provider G DATA, which is located in Bochum. He works in the SecurityLabs where his tasks are cybercrime research and point of contact for the law enforcement. He is also responsible for data sharing with exchange partners.
Michael Hopp

Michael is a partner at Plesner Law Firm, and is in charge of Plesner’s advice on data protection law. He has been with Plesner since 2000 and leads a team of experienced specialists with a diverse background. Michael advices on all aspects of data protection law, including operational compliance (accountability), Binding Corporate Rules, legal aspects of new technologies and sector-specific data protection requirements. He is often used by the media for comments regarding data protection law issues, and is a frequent speaker at conferences.

Paul has served as President, Chairman and Founder of Internet Systems Consortium (ISC), as President of MAPS, PAIX and MIBH, as CTO of Abovenet/MFN, and on the boards of several for-profit and non-profit companies. He has also served on the ARIN Board of Trustees as ARIN and was a founding member of ICANN’s Root Server System Advisory Committee (RSSAC) and the ICANN Security and Stability Advisory Committee (SSAC). Paul has been contributing to Internet protocols and UNIX systems as a protocol designer and software architect since 1980, and was named to the Internet Hall of Fame in 2014.

Per is an independent security adviser based in Bergen, Norway. He is the founder of PasswordsCon, and has spent the last 16 years researching passwords and digital authentication. He received worldwide attention when he revealed that Linkedin had been hacked in 2012, and was quoted widely on user privacy right issues in the wake of the Ashley Madison hack in 2015. He is certified CISA, CISM, CISSP and ISSAP.
Peter Kruse

Peter co-founded CSIS in 2003 and has helped grow the company into a valued partner for customers across northern Europe. Combining a profound technical understanding of malware with a keen appreciation of business needs, Peter is the most frequently-quoted cyber security expert in Denmark and is among the most visible in Europe. He has a long history of active participation in closed and vetted IT-security communities and enjoys strong relationships across the antivirus and banking industries, as well as among law enforcement and higher education institutions. Peter blogs frequently on cyber security issues.
Robert Lipovsky
Senior Malware Researcher, ESET
Robert Lipovsky, Senior Malware Researcher for ESET, is responsible for malware intelligence and research. He is a regular speaker at security conferences, including Virus Bulletin, EICAR, and CARO. He runs a reverse engineering course at the Slovak University of Technology, his alma mater and the Comenius University.
Robert McArdle
EMEA Manager, Trend Micro
Robert manages Trend Micro’s Forward Looking Threat Research team in Europe, where he is involved in analysing the latest malware threats, specialising in researching the future threat landscape and coordinating investigations with international law enforcement. Robert is a regular presenter for the press and at security conferences. He also lectures in Malware Analysis and Cybercrime Investigations on MSc modules at Cork IT and University College Dublin (UCD). He worries that his hobby and job are one and the same, and constantly wonders if “normal” people have that problem. He enjoys long walks on the beach, puppies, and Guinness.
Ruth Boardman
Partner, Bird & Bird
Ruth heads Bird & Bird’s International Privacy and Data Protection Group in London and has broad experience from a large number of international compliance programmes. Ruth advises clients on data privacy, freedom of information, database rights, and data protection relating to cloud computing, mobile network advertising and online location services. Ruth also represents clients on their dealings with Data Protection Authorities and the EU’s Article 29 Working Party. She has served on the European board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and is currently a member of the IAPP’s research board.
Dr. Stefan Lüders
Head of Computer Security, European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN)
Stefan joined CERN in 2002 after graduating from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. Since 2009, he has headed the CERN Computer Security Incident Response Team as CERN’s Computer Security Office, with the mandate to coordinate all aspects of CERN’s computer security office computing security, computer centre security, GRID computing security and control system security — whilst taking into account CERN’s operational needs. Stefan has presented on computer security and control system cyber security topics at many different occasions to international bodies, governments, and companies, and published several articles.

Stefan joined Kaspersky Lab in 2007, and since 2009 has been a member of the Global Research & Analysis Team. He specializes in advanced persistent threats and cyber espionage operations, the cybercrime ecosystem, threats targeting financial systems and global security trends in general. Stefan is involved in several innovative research projects, ranging from malware databases and honeypots to web crawlers. He is a regular speaker at major international security conferences, including SAS, Virus Bulletin, RSA, IDC or AVAR. Other areas of interest include the security and privacy implications of social networking and the evolution of crypto currencies.
Thomas Gardon

Thomas Gardon works as malware analyst for ESET. He analyzes suspicious files every day in order to find new undetected threats. At the same time he is also a student of Informatics at Masaryk University with a focus on computer security.
Thomas Siebert
Manager System Security Research, G Data
Thomas Siebert, born in 1982 in Bottrop, is one of the young and dynamic IT experts that emerged from the structural change of Germany’s ‘Ruhrgebiet’. Having graduated from Ruhr University Bochum with an engineer’s degree in IT Security, he became co-inventor of the G DATA BankGuard technology. With years of experience in the international field of computer sciences and eminent programming skills, he became Manager of G DATA’s System Security group. Today, he researches, develops and maintains innovative pro-active anti-malware technologies together with his team.
Troels Oerting
Group Chief Information Security Officer, Barclays
Before joining Barclays in 2015, Troels was Director of the European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol, where he initiated the establishment of the ‘Joint Cybercrime Action Task Force’ (J-CAT). Troels has advised the EU Commission and EU Parliament, and has been a permanent delegate in many governance organisations (including ICANN, ITU and The Council of Europe). Troels has also held positions in the Danish Security Intelligence Service and served as Director for the Danish Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). He is also the author of a novel (Operation Gamma) published in Denmark.
